Our client is a Series A venture backed startup in the US. They developed a proprietary virtual tryon technology, which is aimed at revolutionizing online shopping by bringing the in-store experience of trying on clothes to the online marketplace.

The Role

We're looking for a Senior level DevOps Engineer to bring the best practices into our DevOps setup on Google Cloud (GCP) using Terraform and Docker and the latest tools.

• Location: Remote (inside or outside of the US).
• Length: 6+ month contract.

Required Qualifications

• Upper-intermediate to fluent speaking and writing English. Able to have a real-time conversation.
• 6+ years of full-time hands-on DevOps experience.
• 3+ years of full-time hands-on GCP (Google Cloud) experience.
• 2+ years of full-time hands-on Kubernetes experience.
• Hands-on experience with Docker.
• Architect, implement, and maintain cloud infrastructure using Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and Terraform.
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate testing, building, and deployment processes.
• Ensure scalability, performance, and reliability of services through effective infrastructure design and automation.
• Implement robust monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions to proactively identify and resolve issues.
• Manage infrastructure security, ensuring compliance with industry standards and best practices.
• Collaborate with development and operations teams to enhance and optimize the software development lifecycle.
• Troubleshoot complex infrastructure issues, performing root cause analysis and implementing long-term solutions.
• Create and maintain documentation for infrastructure configurations, processes, and procedures.
• Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance across the organization.

Nice to haves

• Certifications in Google Cloud or other cloud platforms (e.g., GCP Professional DevOps Engineer).
• Experience with other cloud providers like AWS or Azure.
• Knowledge of configuration management tools like Ansible or Chef.
• Familiarity with serverless architectures and microservices.
• Experience with ETL and data processing tools like Apache Airflow or Dataflow.
• Knowledge of cost optimization strategies for cloud resources.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent demonstrated ability.
