Engagement Details

We're a USA-based company producing video solutions with the mission to advance scientific research and education. Our institutional clients comprise over 1,000 universities, colleges, and biopharma companies, including such leaders as Harvard, MIT, Yale, and Stanford. As a rapidly growing company, with offices in the USA, UK, Australia, and India servicing clients in over 60 countries, we are seeking talented individuals to join our company.

We've migrated the core of our frontend React application to the latest version of Next.js. We're looking for extra help to migrate the rest of the components and pages. This is a 6+ months contract with a possibility of extending it long term on this engagement. In case of non-extension, Right Balance will be looking to reassign you onto another project.

Required Qualifications

• Upper-intermediate to fluent speaking and writing English. Able to have a real-time conversation.
• 4+ years of full-time hands-on professional software engineering experience.
• 4+ years of full-time hands-on in React.js.
• Available for 40 hours / week.
• Can start immediately (at least in 4+ hours a week capacity).
• Hands-on experience designing and developing scalable, high-performing, and fault-tolerant
applications for large enterprises.
• Demonstrated understanding and implementation of software design principles such as SOLID and DRY with Software as a Service (SaaS), multi-tenancy application development.
• Embraces the concepts of Agile Scrum software development and its related collaboration and issue-tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, Rally).
• Experience working in a Continuous Integration / Continuous Delivery (CICD) model, including GitHub and CI pipeline automation tools.

Nice to haves

1. Spanish spoken proficiency.
2. Typescript experience.

4. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent demonstrated ability.
