The Business Systems Analyst reviews, analyzes, and evaluates user needs to create systems solutions that support overall business strategies. Documents system requirements, defines scope and objectives, and creates system specifications that drive system development and implementation. This role functions as the liaison between IT and users, and requires both business and technical expertise.
Responsibilities
- Reviews, analyzes, and evaluates user needs to create systems solutions that support business strategies;
- Documents system requirements, defines scope and objectives, and creates system specifications that drive system development and implementation;
- Works with internal teams to obtain an in-depth understanding of the product and the documentation requirements;
- Produces high-quality documentation that meets applicable standards and is appropriate for its intended audience;
- Contributes to and maintains the information architecture;
- Participates in scrum ceremonies and actively contributes to SDLC;
- Researches information using available internal and external resources;
- Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications
- Upper-intermediate to fluent speaking and writing English. Able to have a real-time conversation.
- 5+ years of full-time hands-on Business System Analyst experience.
- Ability to read and understand source code written in Python and/or JavaScript.
- Familiarity with the SDLC and software development.
- Experience with Agile/Scrum methodology.
- Excellent research skills - the ability to research technology, customer needs and industry trends.
- Work well within a team environment and under pressure.
- Demonstrates strong attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and precision in all tasks and deliverables.
- Process driver with a “Get it done” attitude.
- Effective listening and a strong commitment to provide excellent customer service.
Nice to haves
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent demonstrated ability.
- Experience as a Technical Writer within a Software Engineering team.
