Required Qualifications
- Upper-intermediate to fluent speaking and writing English. Able to have a real-time conversation.
- 5+ years of full-time hands-on Engineering Management experience.
- 3+ years of experience as Director of Engineering.
- 2+ years of Start-Up experience.
- Drive, ambition, and hunger for delivering great results.
- Bias for action.
- Excited about spending 80% of the time coding with a small engineering team.
- Ability to achieve alignment with stakeholders and manage software delivery expectations.
- Expert ability to explain technical details to a non-technical person.
- Master at making your engineering team work in the most efficient and effective way, achieving business objectives.
- Experience submitting apps to the App Store and getting through the review process.
Nice to haves
- Experience in Venture Capital funded, post series A ($10M+ raised) B2C (Business to Consumer) startup.
- Experience in B2C marketplace startup (Uber for X type of companies).
- Ionic experience.
- Node.js experience.
- Frontend experience (Angular, React, Vue).
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent demonstrated ability.
