Required Qualifications

  • Upper-intermediate to fluent speaking and writing English. Able to have a real-time conversation.
  • 5+ years of full-time hands-on Engineering Management experience.
  • 3+ years of experience as Director of Engineering.
  • 2+ years of Start-Up experience.
  • Drive, ambition, and hunger for delivering great results.
  • Bias for action.
  • Excited about spending 80% of the time coding with a small engineering team.
  • Ability to achieve alignment with stakeholders and manage software delivery expectations.
  • Expert ability to explain technical details to a non-technical person.
  • Master at making your engineering team work in the most efficient and effective way, achieving business objectives.
  • Experience submitting apps to the App Store and getting through the review process.

Nice to haves

  1. Experience in Venture Capital funded, post series A ($10M+ raised) B2C (Business to Consumer) startup.
  2. Experience in B2C marketplace startup (Uber for X type of companies).
  3. Ionic experience.
  4. Node.js experience.
  5. Frontend experience (Angular, React, Vue).
  6. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent demonstrated ability.
