As a senior backend engineer, you are responsible for designing, building, and maintaining the core backend infrastructure. You have a high degree of self-management and provide engineering solutions to open-ended problems.

Required Qualifications

• Upper-intermediate to fluent spoken and written English for real-time conversation.
• 4+ years of hands-on full-time Backend Engineering experience.
• 4+ years of hands-on full-time experience with Scala or Java or Kotlin.
• 2+ years of hands-on experience with at least one relational database such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, or MS SQL Server.
• Strong experience in dealing with performance and scaling challenges.
• Expert knowledge of REST API design.
• Proficient with various software testing methodologies.
• Unit testing experience.

Nice to haves

1. Experience building software in the Web3 space.

2. Experience with Frontend development frameworks such as Flutter.

3. Experience working with cloud computing platforms such as AWS.

4. Experience working with Kubernetes clusters and GitOps.

5. Experience refactoring legacy codebases.

6. Familiarity with event-driven architectures.

7. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent demonstrated ability.

Most of our engagements are long-term in nature. That said, if the current engagement is ramping down, we’ll present you with more long-term opportunities to transition into.
